Marriage License

 

Requirements

 

1. Both applicants must be 19 years old to marry without consent in the state of Nebraska.

2. Both applicants must be at least 17 years old to apply.  Parental consent is required for applicants who are 17 or 18 years old.  Parental consent forms are available at the County Clerk’s office.

3. No blood test is required.

4. License must be used within one year of issuance.

5. License may be used anywhere in the state of Nebraska.

The following is a list of information needed to fill out the application.

 

Needed for both Bride and Groom

 

  1. Full Name (Legal)
  2. Age
  3. Address (including County name)
  4. Birthplace
  5. Birth Date
  6. Social Security Number (if applicant does not have a Social Security Number, applicant may sign a notarized statement stating he/she does not have a Social Security Number.)
  7. Father’s Full Name and Birthplace
  8. Mother’s Full Maiden Name and Birthplace
  9. Bride’s maiden name (if applicable)
  10. Previous marriages need to know how ended and date ended (if applicable)

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Driver’s License
  3. Identification Card
  4. Passport

 

Cost

 

$15.00

 

Certified Copy

 

  1. Cost $5.00 (must be received before we send out certified copy)
  2. Need name of Groom and Bride. (including maiden name)
  3. Month/date/year of marriage.
  4. License must have been issued in Kimball County.
